The Kannada film title of 1983 ‘Benkiyalli Aralidha Hoo’ is the title for Padmaja Rao maiden directorial venture in small screen. Padmaja Rao is also producing this television serial that is on air from 4th of July 2011 at 8 pm in place of another television serial that is ousted for lack of TRP.

It was KBalachander who directed ‘Benkiyalli Aralidha Hoo’ in which Suhasini played the title role. Dr Kamal Hassan was similar to Rajanikanth the Tamil superstar real life initial day’s profession – a bus conductor. Ramakrishna, Rajeev, Sunder Raj, Jai Jagadish, Pavitra and others were in the cast.
